What defines our Transition CEOs is our depth of experience as executive leaders, a commitment of service to the beyond profit sector and a willingness to adapt and engage in continual learning. We leverage our knowledge and experience to stabilise and support the organisation, board and staff; assess and improve operations; and attend to human and organisational change; and, in doing so, provide a solid foundation for a new CEO .

Our goal is to practically assist cause-based organisations to manage leadership changes in ways that will strengthen cause impact while avoiding the potential risks.

We believe that leadership transition can be a time of high vulnerability for a cause based organisation. And it is this feeling of apprehension and uncertainty that prompts many boards to urgently find a new CEO. In doing so the organisation forsakes the unique opportunities for renewal and fresh thinking that are on offer during this time of transition. By removing these seeds of uncertainty and providing the time and environment for organisations to take stock and reflect on where they are going, they will be in a far more informed position to find the right person to take them to the next level.

Not only do we take on the day-to-day management responsibilities but an organisation is also able to reap the benefits our capacity building, organisational development, recruitment and coaching expertise and services at no additional cost.

Our Geographical Scope…

Your cause should not be disadvantaged by its location. Whether you are in Berrigan, Burnie, Broome, Brisbane and all parts in-between, we will do all we can to assist.

From my 30+ years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector as both a CEO and board member I have seen so many organisations struggle with their most important decision – the selection of a new CEO.

Many smaller agencies have trouble getting the help they need to source good candidates to succeed their outgoing CEO. Others that can afford an external recruiter are often panicked into the process and recruit against an out of date position description. The majority of not-for-profit boards, however, still seem to be left to their own devices, often relying on board members or friends who have some sort of recruiting experience in their day jobs.

This situation doesn’t need to be this way! CEO turnover is such a pivotal point in an organisation’s history. Sure it is a stressful time for all involved but CEO turnover also offers unique opportunities for renewal and fresh thinking.
